If you mean you don't own a PC but own an Apple Mac, then you should be fine.
If you mean you don't own a PC, or any computer, sorry if this isnt the answer you want to hear, but your iPod is useless.
To use an iPod and put music on it, you need a Mac or Windows XP (aka- a PC). And you need to have downloaded iTunes off of www.apple.com. You also need internet. I assume you have a computer and internet, becuase by posting this, you need both.
So the final answer all summed up is- What you need to use an iPod is a computer, internet, and iTunes.
Hope it helped, your welcome.

In order to have ANY Mp3 player or Ipod you must have a computer that you put the music on it. You simply plug the Ipod into the computer with the plug in or if it have a built in USB cord on it. Also you charge Ipod Nanos on your computer. Most other Mp3 players use regular batteries. And also you get iTunes software with your iPod so you must install that. It's free. If you don't have software, i think you can download it from their website.

to put music on a nano, unfortunately, in ur situation, u do. u don't need Internet on the computer. the nano should of come to u with a white disk that u load into the computer, and u could put it on ur work computer, but i advise that u don't. iTunes takes up space on the computers memory, so either get a personal PC or mac, or sell the nano

Yes, you need a computer, but in theory, just once. You can take all of your cd's and stuff and download them at work, or ask a friend who has music if they will let you link on their machine. Once the songs are there, you do not need a computer again really, barring a wipeout episode.
If you resell, they are going very hot on eBay right now.

Yep selling it is easier. I would get another player that's flxible and is not dependent on any one software for music.
Iriver is a good choice as long as you stay with flash based players. I have heard that hard disc based players are useless once their inbuilt batteries are dead.

no but watever is the first computer you use is the only one you can use, because if you change computers it'll delete all the songs that were previously on there. So use a cpu that is easily accessable to you

You can use your work PC to download songs, and you won't need it again.
