The methods of typing accents in a web form never work on my computer. What I do is type letters with an accent in a word document, then copy and paste them into the form.

Sure you can. I'm in Pittsburgh. You can say "Yinz gahn downtahn n' at?" Guess you'd have to be from the region to get the accent, though.
