would the fact that the backend of the car is still jacked up cause the pump not to work?

You probably hooked the wiring up wrong. Double check all your connections.

Don't forget to check for relays. Some cars have two of them. How did you check the pump when you had it out? If you used the wires that normally power it then you know you have juice passing the relays and fuses. If you used another source of power to test it you need to go back and make sure you have current to the pump. Happy Holidays.

you have a bad ground or the pump won't work under pressure. take the pump back out and use some jumper wires from the bat.with the pump in a bucket of water. if it pumps the water you probably have a bad ground.

i own a repair shop,and i have done this before,,you need to check all the connections real good on it,,i found a bad connection where i joined the wires back together on it,,then it worked fine,,also check your fuse again,,they can blow real easy,,good luck hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.,,PS also the ground should be built in to the wiring harness but id try a direct ground to the car,also,,good luck.

hard to tell but id say no. try putting a jumper wire from the body to the frame, as long as that has a good ground to battery to see if it kicks on, its simple and quick to give a try.

A terminal could be pushed out of conn,or a terminal is spread apart not making conn. the grd is loose .start with test light to ck for power.hook light to 12-v source to ck for good grd.

if its simple to take it off then take it off ant retry it if not cheack you have a feed to it when you turn on ignition.
