Most everyone waits until midnight to go to Wal-Mart to avoid the rush. The real trick is not to avoid the Christmas craze, but to understand it.
**Four young people were travelling in an elevator to the lobby of a large department store. On the fifth floor they were joined by a child and his mother, lugging several packages and trying to assist her son. "Whoever is responsible for this Christmas craziness should be shot, " she said in an exasperated tone.
One of the boys in the back of the elevator responded, "Don't worry lady, they crucified Him!"
The elevator was quiet for the remaining four floors. -- See, you have to understand the craze.

Ours just down the street is usually moderately busy at best on a Friday afternoon, but today, we went in to pick up some groceries and odds and ends like scotch tape and I ended up with a whole bunch of very cool DVDs they have on sale for under five bucks for my library... good titles. Still, inspite of all the searching through the sales racks/displays, I ended up only spending about 30-40 minutes inside there shopping. The checkout was another process entirely... it took well over half an hour. I should have used the self-checkout, I guess, but I kept thinking we're almost there and like usual, started up a nice convo with others in line... lol. I forgot to buy one of the things I went there in the first place for... diapers for my youngest, so I have to go back tonight... very late, to avoid those monster crowds. Ugh.
Also, today, I just missed out on getting my hands on aa few Wii units that were put on the shelves with no notice or lines even. I wanted to trade my X-Box 360 bundle for a Wii and was referred to their online customer service. I did however make a cool new MySpace friend on Walmart.com, though, in regards to my 360 order, so all was not a total loss with Wal-Mart this week. She's a big gamer, toally cool, has a MySpace, also bi and said she will join my new BiSpace site when I told her about my upcoming myspace psudo-clone launch in 2007. She said she might get fired for giving me her Yahoo and MySpace, but we just hit it off well and once she heard about my BiSpace.com venture, the floodgates opened... I swear, only to me.

I like to shop EARLY in the morning. It seems like it is quieter and the people that are in the stores tend to be nicer too.

oh no, that's when the real crazys come out of the wood work.
they will hit you with carts and steal your bargains when you turn around!
watch out, because they are charging your credit cards twice at the checkout line, too. should have gone earlier, when stuff was free for fifteen minutes!
