It may be low on anti-freeze. If its low then the hot water can not reach the inside heater box too create heat for the car. Its also possible the heaterbox is plugged up with gunk.

Some cars have a valve that controls flow of hot coolant through the heater. It may be stuck or the linkage/cable may be broken.
Maybe the heater core is blocked partially.
Check the EASY things first: thermostat, valve.

Broken thermostat probably, the engine never warms up, v. inefficient, $30 to fix.

Are you driving one of my Jeeps?
Just kidding.
Check your thermostat, check antifreeze(you want a 50/50 mix),heater core may be clogged or leaking.

It could be the thermostat is either stuck open, or missing.

check the thermostat, and if you replace it, get one that is fail safe so if it does end up failing again it will stay in the open position.
