If your transmission is slipping, bands are worn, pumps are weak, and valves are dirty. A friction modifier may help, but only temporarily. It will raise the operating tempurature of the tranny and speed up it's permanent failure.

I DON'T CARE WHAT KIND OF PRODUCT IT IS ...NOTHING WORKS 100% ALL THE TIME... NOT EVEN LUCAS PRODUCTS AND LUCAS MAKES A DAMN GOOD PRODUCT. YOUR BEST BET IS TO CHECK CONSUMER REPORTS TO FIND OUT IF THE PRODUCT IS WORTH GIVING A TRY AND TO MAKE SURE IT'S EVEN THE RIGHT PRODUCT FOR THE TYPE OF END RESULT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR... TODAY'S CARS HAVE VERY SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS AS TO TRANNY FLUID TYPE AND ADDITIVES... TALK TO YOUR LOCAL DEALER AND DO THE RESEARCH...SORRY, BUT A LITTLE RESEARCH CAN SAVE YOU A LOT IN TRANNY WORK... GOOD LUCK.

it depends on type of tranny, not all tranny's have bands. but more than likely if your tranny is slipping it means that it is burned up
