Thanks to the retail giants, Christmas no longer has meaning. What can be done to make me and others start believing again?

outlaw any holiday displays in any store until the day after Thanksgiving. I don't need to see frickin' christmas tree displays in August.

Why are you blaming it on the retail giants. If you don't want to spend a ton of money on gifts then don't. Have a grab bag gift exchange with your friends/family. Set a low price limit or make home made gifts for one another. Don't have a gift exchange. Make the holiday more about getting together with your friends/family for dinners or whatever. Go to church.

dont let retail rule you!! create the type Christmas you wish to celebrate,,,,, and make sure and eat some sugar cookies,,,,,,, take a little child for a walk or drive to look at the Christmas decorations at nighttime!

well there are a few things.
1) read luke chapter 1-3 (i believe it is) and read the story of Jesus' Birth
2) go see that new movie 'The Nativity Story' i'm going tomorrow, xmas eve day
oh and ebezeer, i thought the ghost of xmas past, present and future came to visit you. have you lost you're xmas spirit already???

Don't make it about the presents. Just think about it as a holiday to spend with family, nothing more.

make someone a special present or tell someone like my son did me today whats the use of having money if you cant spend it on those you love then he took me out to eat at dairy queen
