I have strong pain in my pelvis when i stand, walk, or try to lift a leg. Is this normal and what causes it?

Are you having a boy? This happened with my first daughter (I carried her low) and my son (I carried him low) I was told by my ob/gyn it was because the baby's weight was putting pressure on my pelvis. My pain was so terrible I resorted to taking really warm baths towards the end of my pregnancy. It feels like someone is ripping you apart. I feel your pain!

The hormones loosen the pelvic muscles and cause intense pain in some people. You need to talk to your midwife/doctor ASAP about SPD,
