I was fortunate in that I first became involved with a beautiful. intelligent young woman. Gwenneth was a managing influence, I was a romantic. We were together for 42 years until her death.
Regarding the second part of your question, I think all those things are combined in love no matter the appearance on the partner.

Much like straight people, you'll see a difference in answers based on age and other context. Personally, personality is most important, but physical appearance does play some part. I think that's true of just about anyone: you need to be able to find this person attractive.

Someone who is perceived as good looking depends on the person (beauty is in the eye of the beholder) and can lead to the initial attraction, but love depends on personalities and mutual feelings between the two people.

as in any type of dating and relationship, personality and compatibility are truely the primary factors. Relationships based on looks will fade as the looks change with age, those based on sex will dinimish as the sex drive wanes, and those based on money will wind up getting cashed in when the greed element becomes apparent. so it matters not whether it is a gay or sraight thing, it is personality that can make it endure.

nicely I opt to easily be myself. i'm a bi dude and that i do no longer think of i ought to stay in any existence-style the place i'm basically no longer gentle with. And the reality that i'm a guy that basically happens to be bisexual, it relatively is already yet another tale. lol...yet heavily tho, i admire my sexual orientation for i've got faith that gay and directly persons are overvalued. it quite is like maximum of those persons are so in touch approximately whats in between the legs somewhat seeing a persons' soul and character. it quite is a huge headache...yet whats up, who am I..?

I think all people ultimately go for a good looking partner. However everyone's (gay or straight) definition of attractive is different.

It's usually the looks that first get our attention, but the pesonality and how you feel about the other person that makes it stick
