If you want to be a marine biologist - you have to good enough grades in high school to get into a university that offers a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree program in a field such as biology, zoology, natural science, natural resources, fisheries, wildlife, or even a good liberal arts degree program that includes physics, biology and chemistry.

After getting a B.S. degree, you must go on to graduate school to earn a Master's or Doctor's degree. To get accepted to a graduate school, you should ideally have a grade point average of 3.0 or better for your B.S. degree, but you still have a chance if your grades are a little lower, but have good test scores on the standardized college test (Graduate Record Exam).
