The only thing that the liberal-run newsstations show is the violence in Iraq, not any major victories, or reports on the 100's of terrorists that have been captured, or the new Coke factory that opened in Afghanistan and is going to start growing an economy. If news was a little more unbiased, then maybe you uninformed masses would see what's really going on.

Sir, we live in a world that has wars and those wars need to be fought by men with guns. Who's going to do it? You? The military personnel have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for terrorist and insurgents and curse the military; you have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what they know: that military deaths, while tragic, probably saved lives and that their existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives.
You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about, you want them in that war, you need them in that war. They use words like honor, code, loyalty. They use them as the backbone of a life trying to defend something. You use them as a punch-line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom they provide and then questions the manner in which they provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you," and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest that you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think!

Tom your attitude of mind is so pathetically misguided it’s disgusting to listen to you talk. As if someone who supported the invasion of Iraq and the elimination of one of the most oppressive and abusive dictators on the planet should automatically be lumped into the same category with people who are inhumane fascists who don’t care about other people world wide.
Have you ever stop the think about the fact that all that suffering in Iraq is happening because of the TERRORISTS blowing people up, and not American soldiers. No, because you’re the kind of person who mindlessly goosesteps behind the pile of crap that people feed you without thinking about it for two seconds. You’re the epitome of people like Adolph Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Augusta Pinochet, and Joseph Stalin who prayed on the ignorance of others, and encouraged and enforced blind obedience to the manner in which they saw things.
Why don’t you look at footage of the Iraqi government torturing its own people, and ask yourself; do you turn a blind eye? Do you just not care about their suffering? You’re so foolish you contradict yourself in just one sentence.

They do not see it firsthand. It is far worse. I have seen much and it only makes me want to serve more and help more. The images on T.V. are half truths of what is REALLY going on. These insurgents will use anybody to further their means and it is up to us to help them Obviously nobody else will. We must hold up Iraq's walls until they can take over. I know you are frustrated and I completely understand that. We all want this to be over with and we both have our way of achieving that. You fight to get us out, I fight to end the violence. Both are honorable and both deserve merit. Just don't forget the people who serve are people too.

Politics doesn't really come into it you know, if a weak Democrat pres had been told by his advisers to go after the oil in Iraq and given lame excuses to use you could just as easily ask the opposite question to no avail. The powers that be may yet get control of the world oil market through force just as the first Bush did in '90, which ironically gifted Clinton cheap oil for nearly a decade.

I don't watch the phony news on tv anymore. I do remember what I saw on tv when 9/11 struck, when I saw the first attack on the Twin Towers, the Ambassy and the other attacks these villians did to our country and then watched us do nothing until 9/11. Maybe had we stopped them from day one they wouldn't have messed with us again, just like now. When we put our foot down there were no more attacks. Get it?

I am on my first tour here, I wish I had joined earlier. I joined for this war, to keep these bastards here. My sacrifice keeps them from fighting on my front lawn, and it keeps my children from seeing the bloodshed. Everyone should watch footage from here, pictures of children carry AKs, mothers strapped with explosives, children throwing rocks at my truck while we throw them shoes and clothes, food and water. Everyone should see it. Terrorist skulls should line the streets attop crosses, their scalps should be worn proudly as hood ornaments.
To hell with anyone not man enough to keep us here. We are helping the comunity that didn't have healthcare. We are providing power and running water so they stop bathing in puddles. We give to them, and give, and give.
Our country should be proud of everything we have done here, and have the balls to stick it out for the long run. Show your footage, display your pictures, shout the good word from every street corner. We are America! We will fight for the oppressed!

Two tours in Iraq and three in Afghanistan... that's what I see every night... I'll do as many more as it takes. Any Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine that enlisted for the right reasons, (not the ones that whine about how they just joined for the college money), would say the same thing. Please quit your whining about the war... we have.

i enjoy seeing iraqis die. and i dont care who is offended by that. i dont like muslims, i know there are several good ones. but there are millions that arent. so good riddence. and as its already been stated, you are not seeing the whole picture in iraq. what the liberal media is showing you is what they want you to see. and youre falling for it. you are a typical bleeding heart liberal, and i think you should be on the front line, so maybe you can die, insted of an honerable American Soldier.

I think of those dam-ed terrorists over there who have been
fighting for years and years and who want to destroy Israel
and the United States. This was true before Bush even.
Muslims came here to destroy and killed over 3000 innocent
citizens in the U.S. I think how loyal our heros, who are
fighting for our freedom over there, are. God Bless them. I
wish we had world-wide peace, but there are even more
murders here in the U.S. every day than are killed in this
war. Do you turn a blind eye to what's happening right here
in the U.S? I bet you'd be one who would protest a killer here
in our country being jailed. Maybe you're Cindy Sheehan's
best friend. Her son volunteered to enter the service of our
country and sadly he died for his cause. Cindy cared not for
him when he was growing up...he lived with his father.
