At the moment, its the Intel Core 2 Quadro Extreme Edition QX6700 "LGA775 Kentsfield" 2.66GHz (1066FSB)

It reallyt depends on what you intend to do.

All of the modern ones are 64-bit. At this point in time
anything that is dual-core you will be happy with,
unless you need a fast server or really are into 3D animation or collecting and graphing scientific data--then you should buy a quad core server processor--pick one.
