Grill boneless chicken breasts and serve them with cranberry sauce. An added touch - slide a raw potato and cut with Xmas cookie cutter and bake in over. That will be a great holiday meal

Sounds great! Don't wanna be involved with a lot of cooking on Christmas eve. Too many other things to do. We often do ham bisquits & potato salad. cook the ham the day before, and buy deli potato salad and bisquits from fast food place like KFC, McDonald's or a deli or some place like that.. Iced tea or 2- liter colas makes it an easy time. Merry Christmas! Well, back to wrapping!

You could do Kabobs with green and red peppers and tomatoes, that would look festive! Maybe put some holly springs or a few small pine cones on the serving platter.
We always have vegetable soup and cornbread on Christmas Eve...that would be hard to grill!

The very popular main dish in this area, is about 4 pounds of Spiral Cut Ham layered in a casserole with pineapple slices and brown sugar, then baked in ginger ale. ENJOY.

On Christmas Eve, we take it easy- we've spent most of the month running around, and now that the holiday is upon us and we'll usually be up until 3am ( Midnight Mass), we do the sandwich buffet thing.

Something fairly light like seafood and a salad would be good, especially if the big Christmas dinner is the next day.

Ham is good for traditional. My family does tamales but prime rib or top sirloin roast sounds really good to me. It would go good with your green bean casserole.
