Yes, they should be open - advice: leave your house *EARLY* if your PO is in a shopping area as mine is. Otherwise you'll get caught in shopping traffic. UGGGGGH!!!!!

The post office might be open, but the particular postal person might not be there.
They can probably leave your gift for the postal person, though.
