They aren't really attached to the sky.
The sky, meaning our atmosphere, ends a couple of miles straight up. Past that, there is just space.
Our nearest neighbor is the Moon. It circles around the earth every 28 days or so.
Just like the Moon circles around the Earth, the Earth circles the Sun. But the sun is much further away, it's so far away it takes eight minutes for the Sun's light to go that far.
They all keep circling because of Gravity. The Sun is really big. Much, much, much bigger than Earth. Since it's so big, it has lots of gravity, which is like a stretchy rope that ties Earth and all the other planets around it. The Earth is much smaller, but it still has some gravity. The Earth's gravity is like a rubbery rope attached to the Moon.
Stars are actually the same as out Sun because the Sun is a star. It's just brighter because other stars are really really far away. Some stars are bigger than the Sun and some are smaller, and some even have planets circling around them.
They don't fall because there's no where to fall. There is no ground to fall to, in space.

To get really confused, go to your local library and borrow, or look at a book on ASTRONOMY. Read the section in the front which talks about our Sun, and the planets in our Solar System, and the moons orbiting those planets, like our Moon circling the Earth.
The sky is a great big place, really bigger than you can comprehend at this moment. It extends much, much farther than you can see with the most powerful telescope ever made.
Each of those Stars you see in the sky is a Sun just like ours, only they are much farther away than our Sun. Each of those stars has a group of planets and moons orbiting around them, but we cannot see them because the distant stars are so bright that they blind us just like a spotlight, or a car's headlights do.
Now, to get more confused, the more powerful a telescope you use to look at the stars, the more stars you see, even looking right in the same place...
Ian Ridpath, author of ASTRONOMY, DK Publishing, NY,NY, tells us that there are 1000 Billion stars in our Milky Way Galaxy. That is a very, very large number of stars. And, beyond our galaxy there are thousands of other galaxies with even more stars, and planets, and moons in them. So, the sky, as I told you a moment ago, is a really BIG place.
Stars, planets, and moons are not attached to anything like with a clip, or a chain. They are flying around in big circle and eliptical orbits, around, and around, and around. While it looks like they are sitting still, they are actually moving. Hope that helps.

oh ,it is easy .why you are standing in the earth?because the earth give you a force,and the other balanced force is you gravty.so does the sun,moon,stars,and they has a universal gravitation from other orbs.and then they are been attached to the sky.
if you gravitation is zero ,you can fly in the sky .

What do you mean by "attached to the sky?" Like what keeps them up in the sky? If that's what you mean, then the answer is that gravity and their speeds keep them up in the sky.

orbits moon n stars have its own orbits attach to our earth,our earth also has its orbit attach to the sun.u can go to any bookstore look 4 the samples to get more picture on it.

You are best to get a really tall ladder and a sheppards crook and pull a star off the sky. Check the back of it and see if it is glued on or has a nail hole in it. Please get back to us with your results.
