a very open-minded Iraqi or Saudi who hates terrorism and maybe hates his nation but the world doesn't know that, would you be ashamed of yourself because the world thinks you're a terrorist or just for being a middle eastern?
if not ashamed, what would you feel?, how would you think of yourself?

Terrorism is the product of politics. It is not necessary that every citizen of the terrorist country is terrorist, not even 10% of the population of that country.. But the activities of such minority class is a cause of suffering for the nation as a whole and Iraqies or Saudies are not exception to that. But one thing is certain, if innocent people are punished for the act of a few people, we are opening the gates for more terrorism.

I would not be ashamed of myself, but I may want to live somewhere that other people are not leary of middle-easterners. I'm not at all prejudice against any race. We're all equal, but it's only the muslims that seem to want to kill americans, so I am somewhat leary.

If only white people were blowing up places in the middle east, I would completely understand why people may feel somewhat uncomfortable around me if I were there.

So I think an open minded Iraqi or Saudi would definitely not be ashamed of him/herself, but they would try to understand the feelings of others.

This sounds very familiar to my circumstance. I live in America but the rest of the world seems to hate my country because we are currently represented by a complete moron.

By the way, your question makes me wonder if you are very open minded yourself. Although there are many Muslim extremists from that region of the world, the majority of Muslims and Middle Easterners are nothing like what you see on TV, making "very open-minded" a bit of an overstatement.

By the way, being open-minded is not equivalent to being of the opinion that says that every Muslim is a terrorist and every Arab is barbaric. If you are open-minded enough, you wouldn't accuse your own people of this. And anyway, an open-minded person would put things into perspective and be able to have a civilized discussion with people with other opinions without taking it personally or turning it into a fight. Use your open-mindedness to help improve the image and conditions of your people. And finally, you are open-minded for yourself. It's doesn't really matter what others think!

I would be sad, if the whole world thinks that all my people are bad people.

But luckily, there are still many people who understand that it is stupid to be prejudice against either Iraqis, or any nation of people.

An open-minded Iraqi would not hate all Americans, just because of their president, but would still be proud to be an Iraqi.

I would be proud for myself. I would feel very upset that the rest of the world did not understand how I felt. I would not be ashamed. I would feel anger and disgust at fellow countrymen who practiced or supported terrorism. I would think of myself as RIGHT!

no i won't feel ashamed. i'd feel good and contented that i'm not like those terrorists in my own country, and would be waiting for the chance to prove myself(oppose terrorism) to people who stereotype middle eastern as one package.

I would feel very discriminated against.
The world needs to realize that you can't group some people together just because they have certain similarities.

I wouldn't care because people who generalize based on color or nationality are stupid.
