make sure u have da system plugged up rite and it comes on.Then it should spin on its own we u cut it on

i would reccomend unplugging the unit, and checking with the manual thing. i to have a gamecube and when this happened it worked for me to unplug it and that re-set it. if this does not work, try calling customer support, or email Gamecube through their website.

open the lid, spin it, and while it is spinning, close the lid.
