Yeah, the Aztecs and the Mayans were incredibly bright. It's too bad that you're mixed with everything else under the sun, too.

And, no one knows for sure what the Mayans knew. Historians only know minimal things about their culture. Although they were very advanced for the day and age that they were in, the gene pool has been a little diluted since then.

... And, now, there's YOU.

different interpretations, all were in both, one had to use astronomy to navigate to get here and the other was here but can't say how or who were the people that they got this information from, the temple of the sun has no written text to who were its builders it had a time line to one A.D., this is beyond and out of the mental grouping that were studied as the people living there were not the link to the original earlier builder at another time. builders date to 1 A.D. Mayans to 800 A.D. and they could attribute them earlier, if the astrologers and customs of each were marginal, it was the war conquests that was the question of who would be allowed to live rather than who was intelligent

mayans and aztecs.....were they warlike? If not they were more developed in the academics...Spaniards had years and years on them in that respect, and with mayans not being warlike, they were deceived and overtaken.........I guess....
I dont know my history very well so If Im wrong let me know.
did Spaniards use biological warfare too?
ok, your question leaves me with too many other questions.
did the Spaniards learn their shipping skills from the state of teh art Portuguese like the English did?? I would say the aztec/mayans were phenomenal in many respects.

Depends on how you measure intelligence. You'd think astronomy and, in some ways, math, might show better observational skills. On the other hand, innovative, creative thinking might have led them to the invention of a high-tech device like the wheel.

Amerindians knew things that europeans didn t know and viceversa.

And about being wise and intelligent....only a small percentage of people in both civilitazions were intelligent...would you call someone intelligent or wise to someone who enjoys with human sacrifice or burning alive someone because is a heretic? :)

Yes, but they also thought Cortez was a god and paid dearly for it.

And when I say yes, I mean yes, they knew certain astronomical things that Europeans didn't. Smarter? I would say no. Their society was well organized, but I think they were behind Europeans in the intellectual field. Which is why they were conquered. They used simple tools to fight, but Europeans used guns.

If that's true, why did they get slaughtered by a band of explorers who had small arms and little ammunition and no reserve forces?
