Hi, can people borrow Windows Office 2000 of course the original to use it in another computer; share it or does it have to be one for each computer.

I know Windows Xp has to be individual but office is not so important is it?

No. You aren't allowed to steal software. If you buy 1 license for Microsoft Office 2000 it can only be installed on 1 computer. If in doubt, check the EULA that comes with the software.

Why not use a FREE Office suite instead? You can just download it from here:

http://www.openoffice.org

And anyone can use it! Legally!

The only way you can do it is with the Student/Teacher edition. That allows up to 3 computers in your home.
