Do American values need to be restored?

I have a very staunch view on this. and I apologize to anyone who is offended. The liberalism in America has gotten out of control. The neocons have become out of control, and the United States is letting, yes my friends letting the war on terror be lost to Al Qaeda. Not Iraq, not Saddam...the terrorism threat that we have expierenced. I am an American. I support Isreal in there threat by Iran and Mahmoud Ahmanedinejad. He is a chilling figure. The world needs American ideals restored. Get involved....get engaged....and by god ladies and gentlemen be America. Not GOP or Democrat. Be American. Let freedom ring!!!!!

The real american values are in the bill of rights. We all need to have a copy so we know why people kill themselves to come here to live better lives than they could in the crapholes they came from. FREE speech. PRIVACY. FREEDOM of worship. NON state sponsored worship. Self defense, security in your home and person, innocent until proven guilty. The right to address the government for grievances. (IE peaceful protest)
THIS is what we're supposed to stand for. Instead we have peoples lives thrown away by christian right wingers whose weasling out of Vietnam and bailing out of service was no better than Clinton's draft dodging. we definately need people to stand for the bill of rights and real freedom instead of right and left agendas whose real bottom line is MONEY.

My values are just fine. My family's values are just fine. My friend's values are just fine too. I don't need a weekend warrior who didn't attend drills or a never served vice president or many of the current cabinet members who never served tell me or anyone else that did serve if we do not support attacking other countries based on lies that I am not an American. Don't talk to me about values when parents had to buy body armor for their sons and daughters. Don't question my values when this current president doesn't bother to put the cost of this war he started in the annual budget but put it in emergency spending bills. Don't tell the victims of Katrina about their values when FEMA made a mess. Secure our borders and then we can talk about other countries. Figure out why America has the largest prison population in the world then we can talk about other countries. Don't question my values when you don't worry about America and it's internal problems first.

I agree with you that American ideals need to be restored but first of
you are going to have to define what those ideals are and secondly you are going to have to accept that the citizens of other countries
have a right to hold different ideals.
