The guy who I fell in love with two years ago started going out with my friend.
Two years ago, he never stopped teasing me playfully. Well, I hated him then until the day my friend hosted a party. She hosted the party at an ice skating rink. Unfortunately for me, I never ice skated before. My friends convinced me to actually ice skate (instead of watching them on the benches). I kept on falling continuously. The guy (who I thought liked me) saw that I was struggling and he asked me if I needed any help. I was surprised, for I thought he was a person with no life at all. He guided me and taught me the skills to ice skate well.
To this day, I can't stop picturing him- holding my hand tightly, guiding me with his smile at the ice skating rink.
I am so surprised when I heard that he started dating someone. Worst of all, he dated my friend who knew I liked him. I think my friend did feel guilty, since she stopped talking to me. What should I do? Should I just forget about him?

He also instant messaged and emailed me everyday until this year for no reason. My assumption is that my friend told him that I liked him. He must be feeling guilty...?

I'm just so confused.

It's time to let go of this guy. Don't you think you deserve someone who will love you and only you? Someone you can trust and enjoy life with? Of course you do! So let go of this other guy and start looking for the guy that is meant for you (he could be just around the corner!). There's nothing like dreaming and crying over the one who got away... but it's so much more rewarding to be with someone who loves you and only you. Take care and start looking for him! :-)

Look for another guy (or a couple of them), do some interesting activity with them -other than fun on ice- and enjoy yourself as much as you can. Things are not always as they seem to be and whenever you feel confused, forget about the rest of the world and you'll be lucky enough to realise that the world itself is confused about you. Then, pay attention to the world, show it your interest and then forget about it again and use the info you got from it to suit your book. We are living in a material world... Ah! never forget to be thankful and nice! They will love you!
Guys come and go like a shoal of fish. Real people you never forget, no matter how indifferent they are to you, you'll always want their company to transcend the boundaries of an occasional ice ring, oops! rink. Your friend must be nice, but the whole thing looks like my mother's romantic fancies. Nothing to worry about, just "go on, go on, don't stop."

Yes. It was one evening and all he was doing was being nice. I dont know why women read so much into things. If your interested in him, call him up and ask him skating again.

first off, talk to your friend, tell her ur not mad at her. no offence, but frankly the guy played you for dope and used you to get to your friend. i learned this one from hitch "if you want a girl to like you, make sure her friend thinks ud be good for her". apparently it worked. but dont judge him for it. anyways. sure, you feel betrayed, but dont sweat it, there are lots of other fish in the sea. and after they break up (assuming they dont end up married or something) wait a long time before persuing him. and if you and him get something going and its more intense, tell ur friend, dont go behind her back, trust me
