once i was in awe of an onion while I was cutting it at work. I just stared at the complexity of it, yet it looked so perfect...yep a poem came out of this experience

To work through the pain of a short disaster of a marriage (and the problem of having a violent/abusive ex) -- I used poetry to EXPRESS the feelings, the thoughts, the torment that I had to live through every day -- and each and every time that this (now 13 years after divorce) ex caused problems in my life ... (especially now since he once again Burglarized my Residence in August 2006).

I am inspired by small things.
I write because it frees me of the rolling inside me. It is like an illness w/me, I write to speak to myself.
A light filtering through a tree.
A smile from an older person.
Little things go along way w/me.

It's not so much the inspiration, but the patience to do so. I love to write. Yet, quite honestly, Yahoo! has taken over my life. Something has to give.

I usually just write late at night when I'm feeling sad or like I want to deck some one. If I do say so myself, I come up w. some purty good stuff.

The Resignation of Donald Rumsfeld.
Oh, Donald your strategies all smack,
Of an idiot fond of smoking crack.
While your troops are shot at and hurtin',
You wink at your buddies with Halliburton.
Though most of the time you don't seem brainy,
At least you didn't go huntin' with Cheney.

Snow, I have never actually been near or in the snow, just saw it in tv, and the closest I got to snow was me shredding ice in the blender
