Definitely normal and definitely common. Remember, your period is simply the shedding of your endometrial lining--the area that would house the fertilized egg. Plenty of hormones are released during your cycle, and right before your period is the time when your body becomes most fertile. So, your body's just going to send out hormones and such, making you horny and possibly maximizing chances of pregnancy. Just nature at work.

yes, i was told that this is when ur eggs are 'ready' to be fertilized by sperm kinda like being in 'heat' like a cat and dog lol... i know a few days before my period i'm horny as hell lol.
