I wanted to sing a song for a concert and I need to try out. Is Keyshia Cole is a Mezzo-Sorprano or a true Sorprano. What about Whitney Houston?

Keyshia Cole is either a 1st Alto or a Mezzo-Soprano. Whitney Houston is definately a 1st Soprano. But to sing Whitney you also need to be able to sing 2nd alto-1st soprano and be able to slide...because her songs travel up and down the octaves. Alicia Keys and Jill Scott are also good choices because their songs are more smooth and within a specific octave range. Good Luck.

sure besides Corinne Bailey Rae, Alicia Keys, Chrisette Michele & some Amy Winehouse, etc( i like the affection of music no longer the commercialism). What i like approximately Keyshia Cole is that she is innovative and has spectacular songwriting skill. She pours out her coronary heart and soul into her making a music. What i like approximately her is that she makes R&B music that's no longer raunchy. i'm ill and uninterested in women people who've expertise and skill to make a capability, that sense they could please all people interior the media, etc. via under dressing and being completly vulgar, particularly lots of the lyrics. unhappy ingredient is it somewhat is not uncomplicated to no longer pay attention to a pair of those songs. Keyshia Cole is a good occasion of a singer that's in it for his or her love of making a music, no longer in basic terms the money and the perks. She's proficient. She is suited and intensely proficient, she retains it sparkling.
