I get inside the gym and then I try to go past the dude in there that I already battled and he wont let me go past huim to battle the Gym leader.

the thing is - the floor is invisible, it has nothing to do with that first guy.
just remember, the other trainers are always looking at the path you can walk. and when you walk "up" only walk UP when you will walk in front of the next trainer
so first you walk to the first guy, and then walk to the right, NOT upwards. don't go upwards until it will mean that you'll get in a fight with the next trainer. after you beat her, do NOT go upwards, instead, go left, until you'll be able to walk upwards right into a fight, etc..

Any dark type or a Pokemon that knows dark type moves (such as your Growlithe because I believe it knows bite) will do. You should either train the Growlithe or find any dark type Pokemon that you could use, maybe a Houndour or Umbreon would be a good choice. But I think you'll be fine with the Growlithe if you trin it to a couple of levels higher than Morty's. Also, beware, he has a Gengar if you didn't know.

Aw Jesus, that's truely sad. Screw Shakespear. Pokeman in the adult world is the real tradgedy. I remember playing that sh*t when I was 12, before I had a life, but now I play WoW so I'll just shut up now.

1-fight the first little guy after the fight face right take 2 steps and turn up and fight the lady after the fight with the lady face left and
take 3 steps turn up and fight the guy after fighting the guy face right and take 3 steps turn up and fight the lady after the lady now u can go fight morty good luck glad 2 help :)
