Their are certified Medication Aids. In some States i.e. Iowa their are aloud to pass Medications under the Supervision from Rn's.
Their work manly in Long Term Facilities.

Hi, I'm an RN and have worked in a hospital for years. Nurses aides cannot adminster medication. Only and LPN or RN. They just don't have the education for it. You must be licensed.

There are "nurses aides" and that's what they are called, but I don't think they are allowed to dispense medication. You have to be at least an LPN for that and in some states, you must be an RN to use the med cart.

Only a licensed nurse can dispense medication to a patient. Must have either a LPN,LVN,or RN to handle a patients medication.

im a nurse aid. we are not aloud to dispense ANY medication at all. only certain LPNs with a special class and any RNs are aloud.

An RN in most cases. Some LPN's are certified to do this as well.
