for christmas im getting my belly button pierced and i was wondering how much it hurts and is it hard to keep clean after it is pierced??

It happens quickly and hardly hurts. It's a little painful and quite itchy afterward and as its healing. Its not at all hard to clean. Good luck with it and Merry Christmas!

It is scary that a big needle is about to go through your stomach, but don't worry it only hurts for a few seconds then its over. I would much rather have gotten it pierced twenty times over if I didn't have to do the after care. THats the part that sucks. Doesn't hurt it's just time consuming. You'll get a packet of sea salt which you have to mix with warm water and hold over your belly button up to three times a day. Just make sure you clean it in the shower everyday and you should be fine. Good Luck!

I actually have my belly button pierced and when I got it done it hurt really bad... but I heard that it hurts worse when your skinny and not as bad when you got a little extra (I guess because the extra flab doesn't make it hurt)... It also took a long time for my piercing to heal... but it may have been infected, even though I took good care of it... But, no it's not hard to keep it clean, just don't mess with it and follow the cleaning instructions the piercer people give you and you should be fine... good luck, Merry Christmas!!

I did mine 12 years ago, and it took about 8-9 months to completely heal. It's not hard to keep clean, but you have to turn it a few times a day, and the (for lack of a better word) boogers and goop from your insides are on it. It's pretty gross- lol.
I remember being really nervous, but it hurt for a few minutes (like getting your ears pierced- fast and done)....then for the rest of the day I was horny as hell. I see why people go back for more because it's a turn on. (I hope you're not a kid-lol) Good luck, and please go to a reputable studio, so it is done in a safe manner.....

When I got mine done, I hardly felt it at all. The needle going through felt a little harder than a pinch, and the jewelry going on was a little uncomfortable. But other than that, nothing! And cleaning's really easy. Just make sure you do it twice a day, every day, and do sea salt soaks once a week.
I was worried about pain with mine, too, but everybody I know who has one says it doesn't hurt. So don't sweat it! :)

it doesnt hurt at all. i got mine done last tues. it isnt hard to take care of u just have to wash it with anti bacterial soap. and sea salt on a daily basis. it itches alot. the piercing itself doesnt hurt at all. after though it gets sore.... im 12 years old.... it wont b bad.

well my mom got it done in cancun last year and she said it hurt a lot but cleaning you should get a shot glass and fill it with salt water then soak your peircing in that 3 times a day

If you must mar your body - please get it done by a professional. You have a nerve there that if hit wrong can paralyze you.
