Because i want both but i can choose only 1 and i know the ps2 has more games so thats why i want it but the wii is newer and better so i cant choose

Wii, the PS2 is dead and buried now, hence the release of the PS3 at the end of March.
To be honest, neither console is that costly, and you could easily buy a pre-owned PS2 for under £50 anyhow.
I like both consoles, Nintendo has always been innovative, and it's fun discovering new ways to play, however, for cheap, free, and relativly easy online gaming, the PS2 currently wins here, though it is rife with nooblets who feel the need to cheat.
Nintendo has started supporting online gaming much more over the past year, as can be seen from an impressive use of the Nintendo DS, also, you can browse the internet with the DS and Wii, (which can be linked up to each other in future releases), hopefully, games like Metroid Prime 3 and Super Smash Bros.: Brawl will feature online modes.
(Note: Nintendo, as well as anyone on your friend list, can message your Wii console, and send you exclusive content, thanks to WiiConnect24, such as WiiMail, updated game content, and Nintendo information).

the PS2 wont exist soon so its really an outdated contest really...with wii's always online capabilities and the innovative controller (not to mention the visor rumours) i think its safe to say the wii wins hands down...as for games, well come on, the wii's a brand new console, give it time to establish a ground before landing. Zelda tp is amazing! people debate about how it compares to the gamecubes version but they forget that this was a gamecube game before a wii game...its a straight port just like Zelda masters quest for gamecube. as for the PS3? well the price tag will kill that off in a second, all the games will be the same, only last longer and look better, but the control system for the wii makes it different from the rest and gives producers more variety and freedom to make more exiting games.

It's hard to decide. Definitely Wii has better power and innovated control system that surpass PS2 weak power (it has been out for 2-3 years anyway). However, PS2 has a lot of incredible games' titles and price for PS2's games is cheaper than Wii's at the moment.

PS2 is way better in terms of graphics and gameplay but Wii is cheaper,, a lot cheaper
Wii graphics dont match up with Ps2's...there pretty crap

ps2 is getting old but ther are loads of good games. wii has less, more expensive games (around £40 im told).get the ps2. i got it and its brill! :)

wii is WAAAY better..
PS2 has the same graphic with wii.
but wii has so many innovative gameplay and channels.
You can browse internet and so on.
Buy games via internet. and many other cool stuffs..
Now, if you compared wii with PS3.. then we're talking different ballgame here..
