i know he was pretty popular, but i was pretty young during the 90s. was he really THAT popular with girls? i dont blame em. he WAS hottt!!!!

He grew a huge teen following while he was in Growing Pains and from his movies prior to Titanic. But then Titanic struck.....and girls everywhere, worldwide, claimed he was the hottest actor around. James Cameron even said that he wanted the sex scene in Titanic to want ever girl fantisize about sleeping with Leo. After Titanic premiered, he was the biggest hollywood star in the world, and literally most teenage girls swooned over him. He still has a really big following with the girls, but it died down quite a bit after Titanic.

HUGE. I felt like Titanic had changed my life! When I walked out of that cinema I was totally speechless. I had seen it with a friend of mine and couldn't even speak on the drive home. I was obviously crying my eyes out as well. He was just so beautiful in that movie. It touched me even more because my partner looks a lot like Leo, but is a little more pretty in the face and I have red hair like Kate Winslet and I was romanticising the whole thing! I might not like him as much now but in that move in particular, he was absolutely to die for.
