I think they both are very skilled hunters, but I would have to give the edge to the cats for two reasons: 1) a greater variety of hunting ability. Wild dogs hunt primarily in groups. Wild cats hunt both solo and in packs. The lions are masters at running their prey in to an ambush of their fellow lions crouched down in the grass. 2) greater agility in pouncing on and bringing down their prey.

wild cats, they will kill a wild dog if they need and than take its prey for their own.I had a cat that would taunt our neighbors pit bull and had no fear ,one time I saw it totally kick the pit bulls ***,yeah it was like standing on its back legs and swiping at the dog with its to front paws ,it was the funniest thing ever ,well the dog was on a 3 foot leash so I guess that was a major disadvantage for the dog.

mouths shut.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and have a nice day.

I think they are both skilled in different ways. It is awesome how canids hunt in a pack and cooperate and work together.
