Some of you are really quick. How do you get the first answer slot ?

i very rarely get to be the first one to answer
i guess i do not type fast enough
even sometimes when i am the first one...by the time i answer and submit..there are several before me.
but i try not to give just one word answers unless i really don't know!
see what i mean??/

You definitely have to use the links at the bottom of a particular question page, rather than the general category page.
