Does a 15 year old female living in Oklahoma have to have parental consent to have an abortion? Or can she just go in hand the money over and get it over with?

fake id's work wonders! just because you made the mistake of getting pregnant as a young girl, does not mean the you have to live with the mistake for the rest of your life.

In Oklahoma, anyone under the age of 18 has to have the consent of a parent or legal guardian for any medical procedure to be performed. Check with a pregnancy crisis center in your area, for information and help with your situation. If you're not able to find a local number look here, (http://www.pregnancynet.org/center_Ardmore.html) for some numbers and they will be able to find a place close to you to help you. I have to mention the adoption option, since I'm an adoptive parent... but if you are sure on termination of the pregnancy, check with the place above and they can help you get through this. Good luck Sweet Pea.

I do not know the law for oklahoma- but please talk to your parents. It never ceases to amaze me in Calif. if my daughter got pregnant she could go to the school nurse and she could send her to a clinic for an abortion without my permission , but once I sent my daughter some cough drops and she could not take them without a note from me and a doctor. How ridiculous does that sound? I am assuming you are that 15 yr old? Please, I suggest you go to a pregnancy help center in your area and get all the info you need before making this life long decision. Abortion is not quick fix- it has physical, emotional and spiritual complications that last forever. Abortion does not solve a problem, it adds a problem, That child is not a problem.

That baby is a life. From conception.Go on and have your baby.
Give it up for adoption the minute it is born. But do not have an abortion. That child could be some one great.

Let mom know that You've made a mistake and you are sorry.
Most of the time the guilt after an abortion is so overwhelmingly
painful. Be careful and thing it over.

In OK, you must show id at clinic to prove you are of consenting age. I know that 16 is not old enough for the consenting age because I had to deal with this situation with my step-daughter.

I would check out planned parenthood facilities and see what they tell you. Due to personal experience though (I was pregnant at 15 and did not tell my parents until I was in big trouble), I find that you should be honest with them. Even though you think they will be mad at you, which they might, at the same time they will want to help you.

sorry, you are going to have to get parental consent, does not seem fair, (it's your body, your choice), but you are going to have the dreaded talk with one of your parents, don't put this off too long, if you need to, bring a trusted adult with you. Best of luck

Why were you irresponsible, got knocked up and want to punish the baby for something you did by using that get-out-of-jail-free card? How pathetic, I guess some people never learn to deal with the consequences of their actions, as if they don't know what happen when you have sex. I don't know check with the clinic and call.

even if you don't need it, wouldn't you want to talk to your parents before you go through such an invasive and potentially life-threatening procedure? God help you...
