Well, for us at least, it is pretty much the normal stuff, just a lot less of a focus on Santa Claus, and more on Christ's birthday. Most people I know who are also Christian, read the story of Christ's birth before opening presents or on Christmas Eve. For us, Christmas is much more about remembering, giving and expressing love for one another.

Yes, it is and certainly not approved by God or his Son. Did Jesus ever celebrate his own birth or the birthday of anyone else? No. Did the apostles or early 1st century Christians celebrate birthdays? No. Did God command us to celebrate the birth of his Son or even give us a date to do so? No. Why not? Because God did not want Christians to do so. But God did give us a date to remember the death of his Son which is Nisan 14th on the Jewish calendar and that is the only date that true Christians are commanded to keep as a Memorial each year. Jesus is no longer a helpless babe in a manger. He is now ruling as King of his Fathers Kingdom in heaven. This is how we need to view and give honor to our reigning King. Christmas is nothing but a modern version of the Roman holiday called Saturnalia. It was celebrated by pagans and every tradition that we now find celebrated in Christmas today was part of Saturnalia. Christmas was once outlawed by the Puritans and it should be now. It dishonors the true God and Jesus.

I go to church on Christmas Eve. And on Christmas day we Open Presents, Eat a big meal, and Hangout With Family. We don't do anything strange, or weird. We just celebrate Christmas!
We also do some charity stuff.
We Fill wrapped plastic boxes of clothes, hygiene items, school supplies, candy, Bibles, toys, and shoes; then we ship them to a processing plant, from the processing plant they are sent to children in remote parts of the world who cannot not get such items.
Last year my family bought an African family milk, 5 chicks and 2 goats. My dad purchased a water well to be built in a village, so the villagers could have clean water.
Tis' the season of giving and fun!

They should do nothing different... If christmas is celebrated for a holiday (like Thanksgiving or the 4th of July) there is no confusion or issues. Once you bring Christ into it, is when the problems start. We know that Christ was not born on the 25th of Dec. We also know that christmas is not mentioned in the bible. So by not having an angel or star on your tree, figurine sets, or other religious things there is no sin commited. As Christ said "Give unto Ceaser what is Ceasers & give unto God what is Gods". Christmas belongs to man, so a Christian should spend christmas with family & friends like any other holiday.

To celebrate baby Jesus' birthday?
Volunteer at the Food shelter, or Nursing Home
Give gifts perferably homemade
Go to Midnight mass and sing and worship BJ (Baby Jesus)
That gets me in the Christmas spirit.

Our family celebrates in a traditional Portuguese way. On Christmas Eve, which is, in our family, even bigger than Christmas, we have a large fish dinner, with lasagna, which isn't Prtuguese, but our family loves it. Afterwards, we attend the evening Mass, and then open presents. That's my father's side of the family. On Christmas, my immediate family wakes up and we open our presents, and then my mom's sisters and brothers stop by and we celebrate with a ham dinner. Of course, we then get new presents. In my opinion, this spoils the littlest ones in my family, and I get too many gifts.

We do the same thing as you.We have a tree and everything.(just because your a Christian doesn't mean you can't have fun!) But we don't worry about what gifts we get! Thats not what Christmas is all about! CHRISTmas is the day to rejoice over baby Jesus's birth!
