what is one kind deed you have already done? do some people dislike being kind? are you kind? if you cannot be kind at least don't be cruel and turn it into a blue christmas for some poor soul.

what is one kind deed you have already done?
I live on a small pension. I have many needs like rent, food, clothing, electricity and gas. My money does not cover all of them so I must make sacrifices of some of those needs to take care of some of the other needs. Thus I carry on. One week rent, no electric bills paid and perhaps no milk or eggs. Another week something else etc. To be altruistic, give some money to someone else in need, perhaps twenty bucks to a person I know who pushes himself about on a skateboard due to not having legs means I go this week without some need. By the time I get home from the check cashing place I encounter not only him but also a lady who has elephantiasis and there goes some more money, Then another who is a grandmother who sleeps on cardboard boxes on the sidewalk with two small children who's mother has left them for some drugs. Finally I have no money and have had at times to spend the whole week with no food and bottled water or clean clothes. So this Christmas the poor soul you say I shouldn't make blue is me because all those other folks, far worse than I have ever been, even though my kindness doesn't go far, has had some kindness given to them.

Right on! Something as simple as smiling at a stranger can go a long way. It costs nothing. Holding a door open for someone at the store or letting someone with fewer groceries in front of you in line at the store. These are all things that cost nothing but goes a long way. Volunteer somewhere. When you encounter people being unkind to others be kind to them. They probably need kindness more than anyone. Then be even more kind to the recipient of the meanness (if that is even a word). A not to Jorge: I am sorry to hear your sad story. I hope this makes you more aware that when someone asks for kindness, they aren't necessarily looking for money. And for all of those people that you mention who have it worse than you, give them a smile, offer them a kind word. They could probably use it. Please have a nice holiday.

might sound petty, but i try to (while driving) let another person out infront of me everyday-holidays more than one. It doesn't seem like much, but to someone in more of a rush than me, it helps and puts a smile on t heir face.

some day, when i wantto pull out, some one will be kind and let me out

I was kind to a person emotionally abusing me today, don't ask me why....I just didn't want to fight back with fire. There, there's my good deed for today!
