Black Pope, Black US President...As long as they are the right people for the job colour shouldn't matter at all.
Black James Bond , No, because James Bond is a character from a book and in the book he is white. If he were written as black then it would be fine.

Yes, yes, and yes! I feel a black Pope will truly show that people canbelieve in the same thing, even if they are a different color. For a black US president, I think we need a change from white men. I'm good with with either a black/other race president, and a woman president. Now if there if there was a black/other race president that was a woman, SCORE! Who says a black person can't say: "Name's Bond, James Bond." with a serious but sexy look on his face? But, there are some reasons why certain things would work out:
- The Pope is in Italy (the Vatican, to be precise) and I don't know of any black men that can speak fluent Italian. Someone could learn, though.
- Because of certain stereotypes in the US, some peopel would be afraid to vote for a black man. (Barack Obama is doing great though!)
- JB couldn't have all those gorgeous blondes drooling over him. It just wouldn't fit together for some people to have a white blond drooling over a black man.

Black pope ...statistical improbability but it wouldn't bother me.
Black president....if he is well qualified and did a good job...wouldn't bother me
Black James Bond...he is a fictional character that happens to be white. You can't go back and change the books that have already been written. If Ian Flemming(author of the James Bond books) wanted a black James Bond he would have written about one.

It's all fine with me except fictional characters like 007 should always stay the same race as the original to keep with continuity. A black King Pin in Daredevil really ticked me off since I'm a huge Marvel Comics fan. Other than that the race of figure heads like the pope or the US president really don't matter.

African pope
An African pope is a pope of African birth or heritage.
Bishops of Rome
Three Africans are known to have occupied the See of Rome.
According to the records of the Liber Pontificalis, all three were from the Roman Province of Africa (corresponding to the territory of modern Tunisia and Libya). The conquest of Byzantine North Africa by Islam during the 7th century largely eliminated the chance for another African pope until modern times. Being not only from North Africa, but also members of the Roman populace situated there, they may have been of the Caucasoid race.
* Pope Victor I (189 to 199)
* Pope Miltiades (310/311 to 314)
* Pope Gelasius I (492 to 496)

P Diddy as James Bond? I'd check it out.
Black President? Barak Obama all the way!

Sure, I would like to see drastic changes such as you say. A man born in Austria as President would be good for our country.
But, unfortunately, the people who decide who is going to be the Pope, President, and even James Bond, always play it safe and will NOT pick any one controversal. Including a woman president. Sorry Hillary.

in spite of the reality that i don't understand in the event that they have been Black, there have been a minimum of three African popes: • St. Victor I (189-199) • St. Melchiades (311-314) • St. Gelasius (492-496) With love in Christ.
