Most experts agree that moderate caffeine consumption is probably safe for a healthy woman experiencing a normal pregnancy. However, decreasing or cutting out caffeine altogether will probably make you feel better because caffeine can cause or exacerbate many common pregnancy-related complaints. Since caffeine is a stimulant, it can cause insomnia, nervousness, and headaches.

While I was pregnant I drank caffeine free cokes and teas. It may take a while to get use to it but they're pretty good.

Well yes and no. A frappuccino once in a while isn't going to "damage" the fetus but too much can be bad. Limit how many you have if you can't stop altogether. Caffeine isn't recommended but there are far worse things you could drink when pregnant than a coffee once in awhile.
And ignore the rude people leaving their comments......at least you are concerned about your unborn child. Wether you are 16 or 36 it is always good to ask questions about pregnancy and child rearing. And btw, I knew a women who was naive about her pregnancy and asked questions that other people rolled their eyes at and she was 40!!!!

You can drink it, but it can affect your child. Do not let this freak you out, this is only if you WAY overdo it..I do not think one frap is going to matter that much..
Studies have been done that say:
For the non-smokers, more spontaneous miscarriages occurred when the mother consumed more than 100 mg of caffeine per day than if her consumption was less than 100 mg. This risk increased as the amount of caffeine consumed each day increased. These relationships were not found for the mothers who were smokers.

Just like anything else during pregnancy, you should not drink massive amounts of it. There has been no proven link between caffeine and low birth weights. They are doing a study though, that is showing drinking caffeine during pregnancy may increase the risk of your child developing add. It is only showing mild cases though. If you think about it though, it is kind of hard to avoid caffeine, it is even in chocolate.

The best thing to do is to talk to your doctor about this. I did hear that it is not good to drink a lot of caffeine when you are pregnant, as everything you drink your baby does as well. Check with your doctor. Congratulations on your baby by the way, I wish you the best of luck with your new child. They are such a blessing!!

I drank caffeine in moderation when I was pregnant with my two children and nothing whatsoever is wrong with them physically or mentally to this day, 10 and 12 years later.
Just don't drink/eat it very often and in big quantities.

God Almighty, dear sweet mother of heaven. They need some sort of testing before you can copulate. Reading this question was like licking road Braille. eesh.
Yes you CAN drink caffeine, but its bad for the baby, and enough can cause problems with its development, and preliminary studies show connections between caffeine intake of the mother, and ADHD in the child.
Dont drink caffeine when you're pregnant.
And learn how to spell and use grammar.
Poor kid.

When I was expecting my children I stopped drinking caffeine, except for a cup of tea every morning. Most Dr's recommend stopping. I don't know the reason why, but followed the Dr's advice for the most part.

you DRANK* it all you didn't drunk it all thats not correct. And seriously how old are you? Did you make it past 2nd grade? Or possibly you had shitty teachers....
You shouldn't drink caff. becuz it can cause low birth weight in some babys. Most do anyway. Its not like super serious as long as you drink tons of water. Like you should be drinking around 8 bottles of water a day esspecially since its winter. Int he winter time you are more prone to dehydration. Dehydration can cause you to have contractions.
