technically, no; the Bahamas are lumped in with the Caribbean because of geographical laziness's; the Caribbean starts at the mid line between Cuba-Haiti-DR- Puerto Rico-Virgin Islands; closest Bahamian island is 150 miles form this line running across the Windward Passage......

the Bahamas are also different climate...they do get cold snaps and the wind is influenced by weather in the States, and generally takes a week to swing around the compass..the true Caribbean is never lower than 72 at sea level.......and we complain bitterly when it is!.......and the wind is always easterly at 10-20 mph....the famous Trade Winds
