I just got a Dell Core Solo and it is so great. It has everything needed and looks sharp too.

when buying a laptop...
you have to witness all parts and see its megabites... what year is it from..
try to see all specific plans it brings for example..
cd burner..
WIndos player.ETC.....

hard drive ddr2 memory (if u want it to be fast then it should be at least 1gb)and $
