stay away from alfalfa!! give timothy hay. diarehha can be treated with OATMEAL not cooked, take away all food except the oatmeal for 1-2 days. whenever this happens to my rabbit i feed him the oatmeal and cut the poop off him, sometimes it covers his anus and prevents him from getting it out. this can be very dangerous if his anus is covered in feces, make sure to have someone elese hold your bunny and put a towel over his head so that he is not scared and he will think he is safe

Stop feeding alfalfa. Clean the cage DAILY, not weekly. The poo buildup is probably sticking to his fur and causing the poo ball. Use a damp rag and wipe the rear end of bunny till it is fairly clean. He may be molting, but I do agree with some of the other ppl about having him checked by the vet.

chill out. That happens to my rabbit, too. You just need to go to like pet smart or something and get rabbit shampoo. Hold your rabbit down with one hand [be gentle] and just use the shampoo like you you're washing your hair. The water needs to be room temperature and not very deep at all. Four inches deep at the most. The "big poo ball" is probably just from your rabbit using the bathroom in the same place everytime and its getting the waste stuck to it. After bathing your rabbit everything will be nice and loose [gross .. i know] and take some scissors and basically just cut it off. [be really really careful if its a guy] it will smell so be warned. With the hair thing .. just buy a brush from like CVS or something and just comb it everyday or week or whatever. It's shedding and thats perfectly normal.

First of all, DIARRHEA IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM! It should be seen by a vet... And second of all, it must be the alfalfa that's causing the problem... Switch to timothy hay or grass hay, that's MUCH BETTER! Alfalfa has too much calcium... that's not good for the bunny..... CHECK THE VET!!! Please, your rabbit needs your constant care at this moment, it may be worms too! I think the problem is the alfalfa hay, and possibly worms. The vet is the best thing to solve this right now.

Rabbit diarrhea can be fatal and requires immediate veterinarian attention. Make sure to take your bun to a vet that specializes in small animals! Good luck and good health to your rabbit!

He really needs to be seem by a vet. They don't get spontanious daireha. Shedding is most likely a skin condition that needs to be treated also.
