I don't get the question, but I choose both, as someone should usually because without ying, there is no yang, and without yang, there is no ying. These two are forces that balance out the Earth so it wouldn't all lie to one side in every situation. For example, if there was only ying, than there would only be good and no bad. The world would have no point and everything would die out with no challenges, news, or accomplishments. If there was only yang, than there would be too much bad and no good at all. Everything in the world would be dead also and the world would be too harsh of a place to live in. If there was ying AND yang, not everything would die and this would include both challenges of happiness and sadness. This ying/yang is relevant to almost every situation, from winter/summer to the moon/sun. If there were only winter, the world would be a rather too cold place to live and everyone will die. If there were only summer, the world would be a rather too hot place to live and everyone will die. So if there's ying/yang, there's summer/winter which makes the perfect temperature for a nice new world.

Yang because it sounds like the under dog - always preceded by ying!

It's not an either/or question. You can't have one without the other. Yin (not Ying) is relative to Yang and neither exists on its own.

Yang - the creative one. Though both are as essentially important. I have to agree with the alchemist on his answer.
