NEITHER both cars are completely used up. Get something new that not everyone drives. Like a Scion TC. Now there's a car.

This really depends on what year the Civic is, and what your main goals are. The Eclipse is not the most reliable of choices (and has quite likely seen some hard use) but can make huge amounts of horsepower. The Civic won't have the brutal power levels, but many of them were good cornering machines.

Which of the two actually is more reliable, though, will depend on the condition of the two, and the age of the Civic.

Well the Honda can might be a better car however the Eclipse already comes with a turbo and is likely already faster. The Eclipse can be made faster cheaper.

It's cheaper to buy a turbo kit, but be aware that witht the high compression of your engine, I would recommend you build your motor up first. That means building the motor you have with stronger internals, plus lower compression pistons. Next, you'll need to upgrade your fuel injectors and possibly fuel pump. Then, you'll have to have it tuned by a good shop. If that's too much work, you can run a turbo kit with 6 psi of boost- but I wouldn't recommend any higher if you want it to remain reliable. You have yet another thing against you- you will void your factory warranty by turbocharging your Si..
