Bush “Developing Illegal Bioterror Weapons” for Offensive Use
Quote

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

In violation of the US Code and international law, the Bush administration is spending more money (in inflation-adjusted dollars) to develop illegal, offensive germ warfare than the $2 billion spent in World war II on the Manhattan Project to make the atomic bomb.

So says Francis Boyle, the professor of international law who drafted the Biological Weapons Anti-terrorism Act of 1989 enacted by Congress. He states the Pentagon “is now gearing up to fight and ‘win’ biological warfare” pursuant to two Bush national strategy directives adopted “without public knowledge and review” in 2002.

The Pentagon’s Chemical and Biological Defense Program was revised in 2003 to implement those directives, endorsing “first-use” strike of chemical and biological weapons (CBW) in war, says Boyle, who teaches at the University of Illinois, Champaign.

hahahaha..so our President is going to directly contravene our treaties and laws, again. blatantly unconstituitional, illegal, and downright immoral.

if saddam had been creating first-use biological weapons, bush would've had a legitimate reason to invade :\

Point in fact, it is against the US policy to use biological weapons in the offense, defense or retaliation, your source is lieing. Biological weapons are too dangerous and can wipe out your own forces just as fast as the enemies, and tactically speaking that is stupid. Besides, we have nukes and conventional bombs as strong as nukes now. We have FAEs that will go into bunkers and what not, we do not need biologicals.

We do have biological research areas because we have enemies in the world that do have biological protocols and we have to be ready for potential threats, but we ourselves have no need and will not use them.

well biological weapons have been considered illegal since WW 1. but bush seems to have no problems breaking laws. he seems to forgotten about that oath he reciteted about upholding the law.
once you go down some roads you keep on going down them. if nobody stops bush from being iresponsible he'll keep doing it, like the little spoiled brat he is
