You should tell your boyfriend that he should kiss your a'ss! It is all jealousy. Take this oportunity and go for it. not that many people have this knocking at their doors. I would give him this ultimatum, "Either stand by my side or just walk away." If he tries to do any and everything to get you to not take this and go for it, then you know that he doesnot want you to be a success, he wants you to be less of what he is. He is a total a'sshole.
Leave him and go for it!

he could be holding you back from being famous and making alot of money and being really successful
