I guess it would be that they were the first sea power in a trading position. They went from China to Egypt, delivering silks, and herbs and visa versa. i also think of the scriptures talking about the enemy is the Persian with all his wealth and to beware of his barter and exchange mesmarizing force with gold etc., Also they were slave trading merchants, and well known for tyranny forever.

I think of Persian cats, rugs, and palaces with those onion-shaped towers. Then I think of Xerxes and the ancient world, especially relative to Greece. Then I think of Iran.
