We celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25th and call it Christmas Day.

It is not the exact day on which He was born but a day set aside to celebrate His birth. For instance, HM Queen Elizabeth 11 was born on April 21st but her official birthday is celebrated in June each year.

Jesus is the son of God, and it is believed that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, are one and the same God.

By the way...when you write 'xmas' you are doing what was done a long time ago to cross out with an X the 'Christ' in Christmas.

Happy Christmas X.

Neither, Christmas was a pagan fertility festival which was adopted by the christians to win The Pagans over to Christianity. At the time Christ Jesus was born people had to pay their taxes which was done round about the end of September. Mary and Joseph were travelling to bethlehem to do just that so Jesus would have been born late September early October. Nisak 14 on the jewish calendar I believe.

Christmas is the celebration of Jesus's birth. Jesus and God are one and the same. God the Son, Jesus was born later in the year. There are 3 persons in the one God. Father Son and Holy Spirit. Here endeth the lesson!

Christians such as myself believe that Jesus took a human form and that he was born to the Virgin Mary. So, half of the answer to your question is that it was Jesus born on Christmas Day.

However, the calendar we use in modern times did not exist at the time of Jesus' birth. So, December 25 isn't the actual date of birth but instead a date chosen to use as an observation of his birth.

It was Jesus who is said to be The Son of God. The Catholic Church selected the date of 25 December to celebrate his birth but nobody knows for sure when He was born as calendars were very different from today's arrangement.

Hope this helps. Happy Christmas.
