Child abuse?

Hey my friend has parents that hurt her every single day. They sometimes even leave scars on her face. she loves her parents and she called the police on them before and so has her sister. shes had two strikes (mom). If she calls again, it would be her third strike and they would have to be put in foster care. dont give me useless answers and say just call the police, cus she loves her parents

I would have to agree with the one who said its shocking that no one has ordered the parents to parenting classes. People who hurt there kids in this way have some thing wrong with them. They need help. First I would try and find some family members that would be able to help her. Or close friends that could try and help. The older she gets the worse it is going to be and the longer it is going to take her to heal. She loves her parents but has no idea of how a parent should love her. If I were you I would talk to your Mom and Dad and see what they say. I am not sure how old you are but your parents will hopefully do the correct thing. Maybe even try to get them to sit with your friend and have a talk with her. You seem like a very good friend you care enough to try and find out how to help, but some one needs to help this girl...

If the mom has 2 strikes already for abuse there should be a social worker already assing to that case and also they should have been already ordered by court to get counceling. If the mom still continues and no progress is seeng , meaning still the abuse continues then foster care is sometimes a better option. I am a foster parent.

Of course she loves her mom. This is one of the biggest issues that children of abuse deal with. They love their abuser and this causes great conflict with the abused. Does she have a family member she can stay with? She really does need to call the police and her mom needs to get some help with her abusive ways. I am surprised that the police have been called so many times and the mom has never been ordered to get some counseling and treatment for this. Your friend is going to suffer greatly for the rest of her life if she does not get some counseling for her trauma related to the abuse. Good luck and God bless****

You can not solve this. You are not qualified. Let them go to foster homes. The parents will not change, and how would you feel if the parents accidental kill your friend. It happens everyday you know. One slip, one fall, or one wrong hit, and your dead !
Tell your friend to call the cops, go to foster. She can still see her parents, and they will see that the parents get counseling to help them deal with themselves and learn to be better parents. You are not hurting her parents you are helping them.

Her parents are choosing their behaviors and so they are choosing to hurt her. In choosing that, they also choose to take the consequences that could come along with that, meaning that they could go to jail if your friend calls the cops. She should not feel bad for making them face up to the choice they have already made. She does not choose for them to beat her. She deserves to live in a loving, caring environment and until she decides to do what it takes to change to her life, she will not have that.
