i don't know that you can actually "make" some one responsible. it's something that you have to try and instill from the beginning

Don't enable him..As long as you take care of him. he won't take care of himself..I have neighbors who are 18/19 who refuse to work but they go door to door asking people for food, money, etc..and people were giving it to them..then they stopped..now they are getting evicted..I don't feel sorry for them...because they were not trying to help themselves. All they do is party, waste the little money they do have and expect everyone to come to their rescue. It's o.k. to help your son to an extent but he has to learn responsibility or he will never function in society..he will be like my neighbors.

tell him to be more responsible or he will end up cracked up out on the streets frezzing his balls off and begging for food! while he watches people live on with their lives merry and happy, that should get him moving abit..
