On the show Scrubs is Carla's character Dominican?

My friend told me she was, but I watch it all the time and I've never heard Carla mention where she's from.

there's an episode where turk calls carla his "puerto rican princess"....she responds that she is dominican and that he should know better.

Oh yeah, she's gone all dominican before--it's not like she sashays around saying "I'm Nurse Carla and I'm Dominican"...trust me, if the writers could work it in more, they would.
