I really, really hate "The Clique" books. Anyone agree?

I've read the first four, out of boredom. I laugh when I read them, but not because they're funny.

I've never heard of them, much less read them, but based on the name alone, I completely agree. I *hate* 'chick lit' and I utterly despise the carbon copies of it that are dumbed down for prepubescent girls who really, really don't need more excuses to be gossipy, shallow, boy-crazy starstruck drama queens obsessed with popularity and brand-names. I puke over 'Gossip Girls', 'The A List', and so on. I'm glad kids are reading, but I lament that this is the way we have to appeal to them.
