I am stationed in Iraq right now, 24 hour ops means that nearly everyone in my unit will surely work christmas day. But, I am more than happy to do it so long as we continue to make the difference that we are making here.

Thank, whatever gods that I'm not working overnight in a hotel again. I hated every 4 years I had to do that. Especially dealing with the crowds who came in on the holidays and had parties at the hotel. I couldn't pick my own time off (except vacations). I had 1 or 2 days off each week, and my boss picked them out.

I work 3rd shift and I have to go in on Christmas night (not technically our Christmas but like our families would actually do a 3rd shift Christmas) but look at the bright side... we get the Super Bowl off... warehouse work and I don't get paid extra.

Thank you! Yes I have to work, I work at a place that has a combined pub/liquor store - the liquor store is open on Christmas, so I have to go to work and get their cash (float) ready :)
Happy Holidays to you as well :)
